An alternate CUAV Pichack Flight Controller Mounting Platform for use with a TBS Discovery PRO.
This Version is meant for use with 5.7mm high Kyosho ZEAL Anti Vibration Sheets cut into 10x10mm sized Squares and placed along the corners of the Platform creating a 1.5mm gap between it and the Flight Controller.
Fitting the CUAV Pichack FC into the TBS Discovery PRO with it's Gimbal installed is pretty much impossible unless you're willing to modify the Gimbal Lever that, for the most of it, is preventing a hassle free installation inside the TBS Discovery PRO.
This Mounting Platform, which will be attached to the bottom Frame using 4 TBS Frame Spacer Screws, shifts the CUAV Pixhack a tad to the left ( because of the Lever ) and raises it by 9mm ( because of the 10-Pin Top Link Connector Cable ).
It should also allow for a some Cable Management underneath the Pixhack and if the Pixhack is rotated by 180 along it's YAW Axis will also provide unobstructed access to it's USB Port behind the Gimbal Lever.
The Setting for rotating the Flight Controller in Mission Planner is found under:
Config/Tuning > Full Parameter List > AHRS_ORIENTATION and there set it to 4.
Known Issue:
You'll most likely have to solder a 90° angled 3-PIN Connector to the Bottom Plate in order to connect the PPM Signal Wire to the Pixhack.
The need for 90° angled 3-Pin Connectors also applies to the area above the Pixhack in case you plan to make use of them for things like a LED-Controller.
